Creating a wedding photobook is one of the most meaningful ways to preserve your day. But the biggest question our clients ask is:
“How many photos do I need, which ones should I pick and how can I design an album beautifully?”
Here’s a simple, complete guide to help you pick the perfect number.

STEP 1. Choose Your Photobook Size
At our studio, the most popular options are:

8×11" Photobook
- Perfect for smaller sessions or simpler layouts.
- Best with 1–2 photos per page
- Up to 4 photos for collage pages
- Great for engagement, family, maternity, or intimate weddings
12×12" Photobook
- A timeless, high-end option for larger stories.
- Clean, modern look
- Works beautifully with both vertical and horizontal images
- Can use up to 6 photos for collage pages
- Perfect for full-day wedding coverage
11×14" Photobook
(Our BEST SELLING OPTION)
- Great for cinematic full-page images
- Good for weddings with lots of formal portraits
- Perfect for full-page spreads
- Ideal for full-day wedding storytelling
- Can use up to 6 photos for collage pages
STEP 2. Decide How Many Pages You Want
Most wedding albums we design are between 50 and 100 pages, depending on how detailed the story is. Here’s a quick guide:
- 30 pages : For signature photobook or small session album
- 50 pages : For a simple, highlight-only album
- 60–80 pages : Great for full-day coverage with some detail, candid sequences.
- 100 pages : Premium storytelling and our most recommended option (and also our maximum page count)
If your wedding included:
- Multi-cultural ceremonies
- Large family groups
- Many details and décor
- Dancing and reception moments
- A long timeline
- You just simply want to keep all of moments of your special day
Then a 100-page album will give every part of your day room to breathe.

STEP 3. So… How Many Photos Do You Actually Need?

For every album size, we follow a clean and modern design approach that keeps your story elegant and easy to follow:
- Most pages: 1–2 photos, perfect for key moments, family portraits, and formal shots
- Collage pages: Up to 4 photos, ideal for candid moments, décor, and small details
- Full spreads: One special image stretched across two pages for those once-in-a-lifetime moments
With this layout style in mind, here’s how many photos we recommend for each album size
30 pages
50–60 photos

50 pages
80–100 photos

140–160 photos

100 pages
180–220 photos
